Kleber 'Binho' dos Santos is one of the most passionate runners we have ever seen. Not only is he the three-time winner and current course record holder of the BR135ultramarathon in Brazil but also a finisher in the Badwater Ultra, The world's toughest footrace.
"The amount of miles Kleber incorporates into his daily training schedule and the extreme ultramarathons he regularly runs are a valuable testing ground and validation for current and future footwear models we are developing," says Sebastian, founder and CEO of Joe Nimble, who met Kleber at Death Valley in July 2022, where he was impressed by Kleber's athletic talent and potential as a long-distance runner.
Kleber confirmed already in Death Valley that our toefreedom® philosophy was such a uniquely positive experience for him that he spontaneously decided - against all unwritten runner rules - to wear the Ultreya® during part of the Badwater Ultra: "It's the first time in my life and actually against all rules that I wear a new shoe for the first time during a race. But it made me feel more comfortable. I don't know why, but that's how it was," Kleber says.
