Water-Repellent

The invisible impregnation of the fabric keeps the textile surface very smooth, therefore, creating the water-repellent effect. The water rolls off in the form of many drops instead of being absorbed by the upper material**.

The Trail Addict WR is a lightweight, direct and versatile road running shoe. The water-repellent upper made of rugged rip-stop material is complemented by a protective toe bumper. The 10mm EVA midsole with zero heel provides the perfect fusion of cushioning, flexibility and direct ground feel. Premium grip on asphalt is ensured by the innovative outsole technology, developed in close cooperation with Soles by Michelin. With our Addict WR, versatility meets proven comfort.

**The WR finish of the Trail Addict WR, ensures that the upper material does not absorb water by imitating the "lotus flower effect" but lets it roll off in drop form. The upper material is nevertheless lightweight and remains breathable. The "lotus blossom effect" gets weaker over time due to wear and tear - the good news is that it can easily be refreshed. Important to know! A WR impregnation is not "waterproof", but only "water repellent". To have dry feet even in heavy or continuous rain, a membrane is needed to make the shoe "waterproof". The water-repellent material can withstand light rain, but there is always the possibility of water entering through the tongue in individual cases. The functionality is not designed to withstand heavy rain. Functionality decreases over time.

Tip from our customer service: Walking through wet grass is like walking through heavy rain and a WR finish cannot withstand the water indefinitely.

Tip:
If you have never worn zero heel shoes before, start with shorter routes first. Using the trail sole on asphalt and concrete increases the wear and tear and thereby reduces the longevity of the sole.

Super Schuh zum Golfen (fester Stand) und fürs Wandern im Wald. Ich trage ihn sehr gerne!

Zufrieden

Trage schon lange Schuhe ohne Sprengung und mit weiter Zehenbox, auch beim joggen. Sind aber meine ersten Schuhe dieser Marke. Als Alltagsschuh gekauft, da die dünne Sohle vieler Barfußschuhe im Winter zu kalt ist. Für den echten Winter ist beim Addict WR das Obermaterial etwas dünn. Aber da sie sooo bequem sind, hab ich sie trotzdem nicht zurück geschickt. Wirklich super bequemer Schuh!! Ne echte Membran und etwas mehr Futter wären top! Trotzdem 5 ⭐️ Wenn der Wandertoe 2.0 lite Winter nicht so teuer wäre…

Entäuschend

Habe diesen Schuh gekauft , da er angeblich wasserabweisend sein soll. Nach ca. 20 m gehen durch feuchtes Gras ( nicht bei Regen!) sind die Socken nass. Das ist leider nicht wasserabweisend! Da hätte ich auch den normalen "trail addict" kaufen können . Leider entspricht der" trail addict WR " nicht der Beschreibung. Sehr schade , denn ansonsten ist der Schuh super , nur eben nicht wasserabweisend.

Our feedback: Vielen Dank für Deine Bewertung! Unser Trail Addict WR ist mit einem „wasserabweisend“ Obermaterial ausgestattet und bleibt somit atmungsaktiv. Das Laufen in tau- oder regennassem Gras gleicht einem andauernden Regenschauer, bei der die Feuchtigkeit durch das Gras regelrecht auf das Material "gepeitscht" wird und kann irgendwann durch die Nähte auch in den Schuh dringen. Wasserabweisend entspricht nicht wasserdicht! Wir bedauern, dass sich die Vorteile der Kombination Nässeschutz und Atmungsaktivität nicht für Deinen Anwendungsfall geeignet ist.

Mein Lieblingschuh für den Wald

Bisher hatte ich den normalen Trail Addict und seit kurzem den neuen farbenfrohen Trail Addict WR. Die Farbkombi macht einfach Spaß zum Tragen. Wasserabweisend ist auch super, gerade wenn es mal leicht Regnen solle oder man nach einem Regen läuft. Allerdings ist er nicht wasserdicht, aber dafür atmungsaktiv. Gerne wieder und in einer weiteren Farbe :-)

Mega! Habe lange darauf gewartet

Ich trage seit ein paar Jahren die normalen Addicts und muss im Herbst und Winter immer umstellen, da man durch das Mesh Gewebe kalte Füße bekommt. Jetzt habe das neue Modell den Addict WR ausprobiert und bin begeistert. Gleicher Komfort und bessere Ausstattung für die feuchte und kalte Jahreszeit! Danke Joe Nimble für das Schuh-Update!
